ECOMONDO 2025: BOTTA EcoPackaging Presented the Eco-Paper Cushioning Bag in Rimini

On 6 November 2025, BOTTA EcoPackaging took part in the official conference programme of ECOMONDO 2025, the European reference event for green technologies and circular economy held in Rimini.
We presented our circular packaging innovation during the conference:

“Eco Paper Cushioning Bag: Turning Paper and Cardboard Waste into a Circular Protective Packaging Resource.”

Our intervention focused on the strategic role of packaging waste as a recoverable material rather than a disposal issue. By combining circular design and operational efficiency, we showed how protective packaging can evolve beyond single-use plastic and actively support the ecological transition.

The Eco-Paper Cushioning Bag: Circular Protection Made Real

The Eco-Paper Cushioning Bag is an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic cushion fillers, made using paper and cardboard waste.
It is designed for logistics, e-commerce, industrial shipments and companies aiming to demonstrate real commitment to sustainability.

Main features:

Circular economy approach – filling is made from paper and cardboard waste
Certified recyclability – ATICELCA® certification for recycling within paper streams
High protection level – shock-absorbing, tear-proof and suitable for sensitive goods
Customisable – available in different sizes and with personalised printing
Reusable – scratchproof and durable, designed for multiple cycles

This product proves that sustainability can be both measurable and operational, turning waste into a protective and value-driven resource.

Our Contribution to the ECOMONDO Programme

During the conference session, we presented practical evidence that circular innovation in packaging is achievable with current technologies.
The Eco-Paper Cushioning Bag was introduced as a scalable solution for the replacement of traditional bubble wrap and foam, with benefits for both environmental footprint and logistics performance.

ECOMONDO provided the ideal environment to open discussions with industry professionals, researchers and supply chain actors on the next evolution of packaging systems.
