What is Digital Product
Passport (DPP)?
A Digital Product Passport (DPP) is a tool for collecting and sharing
product data throughout its entire lifecycle, such as its origins, supply
chain history, environmental impact, recyclability, and authenticity.
The EU is planning to introduce DPPs for all products and to
implementi t by 2027, as part of Ecodesign for Sustainable Products
Regulation. DPP will be accessible by scanning a data carrier, such
as a 2D barcode or an iQRcode™, and will provide information in
different languages, which will help consumers and buyers make
informed choices, facilitate recycling, and improve transparency and
compliance.
