BOTTA EcoPackaging joined the Mentor2 project

BOTTA EcoPackaging believes that sustainability is not only about the environment, but also embraces crucial social aspects such as diversity and inclusion. In this context, the company recognizes the importance of immigration as a driver of sustainable development. To promote this approach, BOTTA EcoPackaging has joined the Mentor2 project, an initiative financed by European Mobility Partnership, ICMPD and the City of Milan, aimed at fostering cultural integration and supporting the immigration of young talents between Italy, Morocco and Tunisia.

Launched on July 1, 2021, and running until June 30, 2024, the Mentor2 project seeks to create new opportunities for youngsters through educational and professional exchanges, encouraging mutual enrichment and fostering intercultural dialogue. The goal is to overcome the perception of migration as a threat, transforming it instead into an extraordinary opportunity for growth [1].

Diversity and Inclusion: The Keys to Sustainable Development

Lara Botta, Vice President of BOTTA EcoPackaging, emphasizes “We believe that a diversified and inclusive work environment is the core for a fairer, productive and innovative future. Diversity fuels creativity, fosters critical thinking, and encourages a continuous improvement.” Indeed, the integration of different traditions, experiences, and values creates a more dynamic and stimulating environment, where innovative solutions naturally emerge, and business performance reaches higher levels.

Young Talents: A Bridge Between Cultures and Professional Opportunities

A concrete example of the benefits stemming from immigration of young talents is Yassine, a Tunisian intern who started his journey at BOTTA EcoPackaging as an SEO specialist. Thanks to the support of Work Is Progress, Yassin was able to experience a smooth transition to Italy, where he immediately felt welcomed. Milan, with its history and rich cultural diversity, became the ideal setting for an integration that enriched both his professional and personal experience [2].

Yassine’s approach brought new ideas and SEO strategies to BOTTA, influenced by his cultural background, which significantly improved the company’s online visibility and expanded its outreach. The innovations introduced by Yassin are a perfect example of how diversity can enhance not only a team, but also the business performance.

In a recent interview, Lara Botta has delved into the importance of diversity and inclusion, explaining how projects such as Mentor2 align perfectly with the mission of BOTTA EcoPackaging. You can watch the full interview in the video here. [3]
