Corrugated cardboard is the symbol of the circular economy, by its nature it is 100% recyclable, biodegradable and produced from renewable sources. Corrugated board can be recycled and reused in a variety of ways, often the recycled fibres make up 88% of the raw material from which the new packaging will be made.
At Botta Packaging, we are constantly striving to improve our ecological footprint through the optimisation of our production processes in order to return to a responsible supply chain. Our goal is to continue improving ourselves until we reach the so-called “Zero Waste” quota.
This can be seen in the combination of corrugated cardboard for cutting sheets that will be transformed into boxes and in the recycling of scraps and general waste that will go to waste and will create new packaging. Wherever possible,we try to use recycled fibers, designed and optimised for high performance, so as to reduce the use of virgin fibers.
We believe in long-term sustainable development to ensure a healthy planet for future generations.
We have signed the ““Manifesto della Sostenibilità e della Crescita per le imprese italiane”, (Manifesto of Sustainability and Growth for Italian Enterprises), promoted by the Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria and Unilever Italia, promptly responding to the call to action of the Ministry of the Environment.
In addiction, we are member of the CONAI: National Consortium for the recovery of cellulosic-based packaging. Our President Mr. Floriano Botta, is COMIECO Vice President to continue in his mission of recycling in favour of the environment.
“The use of packaging that ensures optimal performance and greater sustainability is now an obliged choice for our society, to which all large users and distributors must aim”
Massimiliano Rocco, Head of WWF Forests Italy
